Happy New Year, folks! I hope everyone is over the dreadful New Year’s hangover and already tackling 2013. 2013 is already starting out to be a busy year; my travel card is getting booked and my first stop is Las Vegas. They say, “…what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas…”, but that is not the case when I go. The AVN’s Awards Show, is right around the corner and yours truly will be front row and center seeing everything there is to be seen.
I still remember last year, being absolutely floored by the things I saw and experienced. There’s the adult performers, the merchants selling unbelievably innovative and occasionally, hilarious products, the fans and the rest of the people who find themselves in Vegas during this week, wondering how they got surrounded by so many sexy people. Members of our San Francisco family will be packing their bags, boarding planes and joining in for this fun-filled week. As a result, expect us to return with stories and more!
This is also the year of good deeds at AVN, with the debut of The Hollie Stevens Suite welcoming all who visit it. Masque Sexual Flavors, the Suite’s Premier Sponsor, gave generously to make this happen. San Francisco based company, GameLink, is the Founding Sponsor and is donating 100% of the proceeds from Hollie’s films to the Suite that bears her name. Solace SF, with the help of Las Vegas based Cupcake Girls are making a request from Hollie Stevens become a reality. AVN attending performers will be able to access free breast exams, mini massages, hair and makeup services and of course, cupcakes – all free of charge. Leave it to The Queen of Clown Porn, to help people from the grave.
I have a slew of things to do until I head to Las Vegas and many more articles that will be dropping on Huffington Post and SF Weekly: Trannyshack is presenting their version of Sex & The City and I cannot wait to watch it and report back. Next month, Sketchfest takes place in San Francisco and I am delighted to have the pleasure of interviewing Dave Hill. Dave Hill wrote Tasteful Nudes and he is all around awesome. I look forward to his quick wit and I am even more excited to see him perform with Jeanine Garofolo, for 80’s vs. 90’s at the Verdi Club on February 9th.
Since I am back to blogging on my own personal site, feel free to email me with story ideas or questions. I always look forward to hearing from my viewers and I am always interested in new things to cover. Stay tuned and stay in touch.
